god is good!

got a pt job at utah valley convention and visitors bureau this morning!!
i interned at the oly vcb last summer and it was the worst experience of my life!
but god must have wanted me there so i would have this opportunity in utah. oh the things we don't know.
this is gonna be phenomenal! i'll be working with the provo airport to get flights to LA who already has flights to denver via frontier airlines!!! i'll also work with the sundance film festival and resort!!
i'm excited because this job allows me to stay in provo with my friends! i would like to stay here at least a year and then move on to an agency or corporation!

blessed

i feel blessed to have the next four days off. thurs. through sun. that i didn't request.
i need it. i so desperately need it.
i need to revive my soul. i need some influential soul-searching time.
to sew my life and soul back together.
i feel as though i'm in a swirling, never-ending cyclone where life is jetting past me, away from me.
time to calm this cluttered frenzy. 
time to become one with myself, with life again.

some people SUCK

here i tell of customers who ... yeah ...

so this older husband wife duo comes up to the register and the wife asked, "is this paper a better deal at wal-mart?"
"i don't know," i said stoically.
she said in all seriousness, "you don't know the price of this paper at wal-mart?"
i said matter-of-factually, "sorry, i don't."

humph! she stammers, "well, you should!" 
keep in mind, i don't show any expression.

then the repulsive husband chimes in, "are you always this cheerful at the end of the day?"
um, how is one supposed to respond to this question? who do people think they are?
i ignore the question and continue ringing the items thinking it will blow over cuz last i checked, strangers don't always reply to people's idiotic banter.

this smart-one repeats, "are you always this cheerful at the end of the day?"

i just smile.

he then proceeds to grab a card off my register and demands my name. i comply and when he asks for my last name i politely tell him i don't give out my last name. then he demands the store #. i should have said my name was sally or winifred.

i think [without wearing my emotions on my sleeve], wow these mother effing ppl need to get out of this store now.

so, because i didn't know the price of paper at wal-mart nor paid attention to a demeaning question about cheerfulness these ppl were pissed off.

pleasant people ... real pleasant.

motherly advice

it started with me saying i don't cook.

mom: yes, you do. you're a very good cook!

me: i guess i shouldn't say i don't cook cuz that implies i'm one of those woman who refuses to step foot in a kitchen, we've all met them.

i just mean that it's no fun to cook for myself so i haven't been. i need people to cook for, i say!

you will, she says. you will.

without me mentioning family, the convo segues to when you have children you can feed them the stuff you cook so they aren't those children who only want mac and cheese and pbjs cuz if that's all you feed them, that's all they'll want. but if they eat what you eat from a young age, they'll enjoy it!

hmm ... someday. someday.

Now that I'm graduated, I want to do everything and anything!

Problem is, I need peeps to do stuff with. Where are you people?! I have friends, I do. Could use more though.

Availability just happens to be an issue for people.
