I Love Kendyl!

Is she precious or what?
She's really my cousin, but I pretend she's my niece because I grew up with her mom, my aunt, of whom I think of as my big sister.
I got to see her for the first time when she came to Provo! She weighs less than a gallon of milk.
Kendyl was born February 28!

Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing

Today, I need this inspiration. How easy it is to forget.

Positive Self-Realization

Have you ever heard of the YouAreBeautiful project? You can send for free stickers and spread random acts of kindness everywhere you go! Why not make the world feel a little better and create activism instead of consumerism?

Hello Glassblowing

Chihuly is fascinating not only because he started blowing glass in Western Washington, but because he makes the most beautiful creations. I'm crazy about glassblowing. It's such an art that lets creative juices flow! The intense, vibrant color and subtle lines of the models inspire me to be flexible and free.

Pausing For Peace

Today, I would like to go to Walden Pond. It's time to take a break from the complexities of life. It's time to recenter my spirituality. It's time to refocus my yin and yang into harmony. To obtain relief from the stresses of life, I will seek ways to simplify my life.

Chocolate-Chip Cookie Goodness

One of my interests is Jenna's Chocolate-Chip Cookies. These little morsels of heaven are to die for. I miss her and them dearly. Dear Jenna, Thanks for being the best cookie maker ever. Love, Kayleigh

Since she's not here, this video will have to do instead!

Ode To The Great Northwest!

Can you tell I'm missing the Pacific Northwest? These pictures aren't enough to give me my fix!

I need to breathe the fresh, clean air.
I need to smell the rain.
I need to feel the embrace of Mt. Rainier and all it's majestic peaks.
I need to feel the clear, crisp wind rush against my face.
I need the green evergreens, with their sense of omnipotence, to keep me down-to-earth.

Oh, how Washington will forever be ingrained within my soul! I feel as though it's partly mine.

A Pick-Me-Up

The Visitor: A captivating and inspiring movie. My pop culture professor played this today and I think it's amazing. Watching a older man come out of depression through African music is neat, and then seeing him help his friend overcome American immigration issues is profound. It's interesting how some of the best uplifting movies that make you feel great aren't well-known. Some people apparently think this movie is boring. My professor had an interesting response for this thinking: If you think something is boring, you're boring.

I Love The Mountains, I Love The Rolling Hills

This is how I have fun on airplanes! My sister and I used to call it Mt. Reindeer when we were little. The Native Americans knew it as Mt. Tacoma or Mother of Waters.

Quest For Faith

Faith is a feather in the wind. It's up and then down again.
Sometimes I have it, sometimes I don't. I have to remember that just because I don't have faith at one time on the road of life, it doesn't mean I've never had it.
At every situation life throws at me, I have to learn to have faith that all will be okay. It's easy to forget that faith is knowing I will be given something solid to stand on or be taught to fly. Either way, the best is yet to come.

Up, Up, and Away!

I woke up to this unusual surprise! A hot air balloon ride looks like a dream!
I've always been fascinated by the oldest human-carrying flight technology since playing "Around the World in 80 Days" on the computer as a little girl.
