walking along the path at the park, my mom and i came across this furry creature. it's called the american shrew mole and is unique to the puget sound. it took a minute to figure out that long skinny thing protruding from its body is a nose. check out those claws! not such a simple pleasure, but i discovered a rodent i had no idea existed.
